Does anyone know the standard lie for ladies and/or senior clubs ?
Do they all come at 0 degrees from the factory unless you get fitted ?

Reason I ask is I bought a set of Maxfli Fire irons last year. They were located in the womens/seniors area at Golf Galaxy however they do not look like women's clubs at all so I am thinking they may be senior clubs. They were Gunmetal Grey in color with yellow flames. Anyway they were about an inch shorter per club, which works for me given I am 5'4" and I didnt have to spend the extra cash per club to have them cut down and regripped. Plus I hit them very well and like the graphite shafts with my slower swing.

So the other day I stumbled upon Gigagolf's site and used their fitment guide for my height and wrist level and it says I should be using mens irons that are -0.5" and -3 degrees.

I figure my current clubs are -1" shorter than mens clubs but wanted to know what my lie is. How can I determine what degree lie my current clubs are ? Or since they were not fitted assume they are at 0 degrees ?

As far as I know, the golf industry has no standard for 0 degrees/standard lie angle.

Also, within a set of clubs lie angle will change as the shafts get shorter or longer.

To check lie angle of your current clubs, do an "impact tape" test on a fitting board. The fitter puts tape with measuring ticks on the sole of your iron. Then, you hit shots with the club. It the impact point ends up toward the toe or the heel of the club, you might need a lie adjustment.
