Talked to a Callaway HQ sales rep this morning.

He says that the X24 iron series is a cross between the regular and Tour versions of previous X models.

So, no X24 Tour model will appear.

I never understood the difference between regular and tour iron sets, they look like the same build just different colors..

2013 Goal:

Single digit handicap

Tour models usually have thinner soles/topline, less offset and if I'm not mistaken small head length.

Exactly. The decreased offset is the main reason i chose the X20 Tours over the std X20's. Some of the X-series also had standard hosels in the Tours, with shorter or bore-through hosels in the regulars.

I think Callaway has gotten rid of Tours for the X-series as they'd rather funnel players interested in them to the X-Forged...

All in all I would go with what suits you best.. if you're not going to notice the difference in the X's and X Tour's then don't bother paying the extra cash. I prefer the regulars to be honest

That's correct.

Likewise, the Tours have a higher Vertical Center of Gravity (VCOG), which means they don't pop the ball up as much. This is helpful if you need to keep the ball low on certain shots. Also... * The Tour irons aren't quite as strong on the lofts as the normal X models. * Tour models stop at PW; regular X model has stock AW, SW and LW available with the set.

    • Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.
    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
