I have desperately tried to find a weeknight or early morning golf league in Cincinnati. NONE, well, that are open to new players. It seems someone has to die and leave their spot in their will in order to get in. If anyone in the Cincy area knows of one with an opening for Fall or even now, please let me know. I greatly appreciate it.

I'm in one at the vineyard on thursday night. It is a bunch of hacks with a few good players thrown in. Right now we are in the middle of it but I am sure you can get in next year. It starts the end of April and goes through the end of summer. It is thursday at 5. If you want I can see if you can sub in it this year to see if you'd like to play next year. Sub fee is five bucks. Let me know and I'll ask the guys this week that run it. We are always needing subs in the summer.

Don't think it'll help for this year, but sign up for the email updates from Walden Ponds, especially since it's close to you (see you live in Fairfield-I'm in the township). They send out info on getting into a league every year.

wanting to join a league in Fairfield/west chester/blue ash area....

Check Walden. I work there and 2 guys I work with play in the Tuesday night league there. Decent league according to them. Pretty sure they won it last year. Both in their mid 60's mind you.

    • After a bit of a lean spell managed to birdie stroke hole one, long par five. Ball striking best it’s been for a while short game exactly the opposite. Had so many opportunities to post good scores last three or four games, failed miserably😀
    • Would You Rather #69 For this question let's assume you are playing whatever tournament is important to you.  Would you rather finish second in your tournament but be remembered for a huge mistake you make right at the end.  or  Would you rather play solidly in your tournament, but you still finish outside the top 25, and are never really in contention.  Incidentally, this happed to a friend of mine many years ago at the tournament I play every year. He was leading the tournament coming into the last hole, where he took two to get out of a greenside bunker and then three-putted his way to second place. He hasn't really been in contention again since.
    • I hate that I agree with this. But the guy is like a Ferrari with four flat tires trying to go 200 mph. Bad things can only come from that. He turns 50 on December 30th. I wonder how long Golf Cart Tiger lasts out there.
    • When you’ve resorted to this type of stuff, hang ‘em up.
    • Happy April Fool's Day! 😅 Me after laughing for a bit about the joke:
