Hey everyone:

Stumbled upon your site and forums when I was really starting to look for good Tour commentary and some instruction. Finally decided to sign up and introduce myself; but now I don't know what to say.

Been playing "seriously" since the start of the last golf season up here in MN (so about June, with our weather). With Christmas and some savings I've started working on getting equipment that was made *after* I was born (current set of irons is 2 years younger than me, so technically it counts but...)

I've heard there are a lot of good golf courses in the state, but with the lack of experience I'm kinda scared off by some of the nicer courses for fear that I'd be holding people up behind me or excessively beating up the course (which is obviously something that I'd prefer to avoid).

If there's anybody that's been up to MN, any recommendations for decent courses (9-54 hole) north of the Twin Cities?

Anyways, that's about all I can come up with; with that I'll leave you and continue to be happily hacking away.
