GolfLogix GPS for BB question

I'm thinking about downloading GolfLogix for my BB Tour. I'm a little concerned with the amount of data it uses as my plan does not have unlimited data. I researched on the GolfLogix website and it didnt have anything on data useage. Do I only have to worry about how much data it takes to download the app? Or does it use data while the app is running? Sorry about the newbie question, my BB is fairly new to me as well as GPS. Thanks in advance.

I have it on my htc hero. Don't know how much data it uses, but it sure does eat the battery pretty quick.

Wow!! Nobody knows anything about these things and the data they use? Huh!!

Everyone I know has a unlimited data plan. I used the demo today I plan on purchasing it.

The only time it uses data to my knowledge is when it DL the course information or if you upload your scores.

I use the BB tour with golf Logix, I have unlimited date use. I will say that it drains the battery something fierce, and it also take a little but for it to update yardage! But other then That I am com[completely happy with it!

If you go to Golflogix.com and call customer service they can tell you, I have spoke with them already and they seem they are wiling to do what ever to make you happy!

You can pick up a battery for most phones at super cheap prices. 5-10 bux. Keep a back up fully charged, but as long as mine is charged 85% or better, it makes it thru the round. You can do things to conserve battery power though.
