I'm looking to add a 3W and a 5W to my bag. The local golf shop has an Adams Ovation 3W and 5W for $60 each. Does anyone have any experience with these?

I'm open to pretty much anything. I've actually never used fairway woods, so I'm open to any brand. I'd like to keep them under $50 each, if possible, just in case I find that I'm not able to hit them yet.

In my Grom bag:
Driver: R7 Burner 10.5*
Woods: Big Bertha '04 (4/5,7)
Irons: a3OS (3H, 4H, 5H, 6-PW)
Wedges: SM (52*, 56*)Putter: Detour 2

I really like the Callaway 04 Big Bertha woods. They can be had for $50 or less if you look. They were one of Callaways most extensive offerings. You could get any thing from a 3 wood to I think a 9 wood with + woods available too. Very easy to hit from all lies and accurate too. I don't list it in my sig, but my 04 BB 4+ is probably my favorite wood. My "golf disease" keeps me trying new clubs though so it rotates in and out.

Driver - Speedline Fast 10: 10.5 Matrix HD Stiff
Woods - Big Bertha 5 wood
R9 4 wood
Irons - 07 X Forged 4-PW
Wedges - X Forged 50, 54, 58 Vokey Spin Milled 64Ball - Tour i Gamer V2

I briefly played with an Adams Ovation 3 wood - it sounded worse than the square drivers did when they first came out

    • Day 66: Played 18! Wasn't really keeping track of score, but guessing in the low 80s. Driving okay, iron play up and down, lagging putting really bad. Overall, it was good to get out and play.
    • Day 41 - 2026-01-30 More backswing and grip work on the mat / net. Also some mirror time focused on trail weight.
    • Day 12 (30 Jan 26) -  Had hoped the men’s group would be playing, but the cold temps and delayed opening kept them at bay. Spent some time on the range working on loading the trail foot on the backswing (focusing on loading the inner portion of the foot and collapsing the knee slightly toward the ball). Learned too much really brought on a left pull.  Easing back a bit, really helped compressing the ball and overall accuracy.  Took it to the course for a practice round, focusing on this small change.  Saw better dispersion across the bag….guess this will be part of the mirror work drills as snowpacolypse 2 hits eastern NC.
    • I’d go with the Titleist if you liked the look of the blades but were suffering with distance. They should be a little more forgiving than a full blade and still retain some workability. Also remember to consider the shafts each have as this will be a big contributor to how they feel. Clemsonfan is right though… get fit or spend a bit of time on a launch monitor 🤙
    • Day 28: 2026.01.30 Managed to make time for a few swings out back today. Need a proper bit of range time this weekend.
