Played 18 yesterday and was having a bit of trouble with my swing. It seemed like my right wrist was being funky and at the top of my swing my right palm was facing towards the sky. I was getting some very inconsistent shots that would leak out wayyy right.

I took some of my approach shots standing with my feet together and each time (9 times or so) I swung the ball went dead straight with just a little bit of distance loss (9i usually goes 145, it went about 130-135). What I usually did for my next shot after one of those was take my normal stance and take a full swing but I would get the same result was I mentioned above with the ball leaking out to the right with slice to it. What the hell is going on?

Unfortunately I don't have any video of this. If I can get some soon I'll post it.

How's your normal stance look? How far apart are you feet, usually if I hit a bad shot some of the time I can chalk it up to being off balance, i.e. feet too wide.

My regular stance is kind of narrow... there's probably about one foot of space between the insides of my shoes when I take a normal stance. I'm only having this issue with my irons right now and it sucks. Everything else about my game is going well right now, too

    • Yep, I know. 😉
    • I don't know what you mean by "middle of the fairway." No, the relief area goes 2 club lengths into the fairway (and extends away from there). Also, I don't know why "obviously" is in quotes. I didn't use that word, nor is it relevant here. If your ball is lost or known to be OB, you can use the MLR if it's in place.
    • I don't use anything except occasionally an alignment stick or a yardstick. 😄
    • Day 7: 4/27 Session 9/24 of Full Speed Spectrum Training. Tied for my second highest speed of this program. Good session but I feel like I am leaving a little in the tank!
    • So even if a ball is obviously OOB? What constitutes "obviously". Let's say the person hitting says "I think that stayed in". The other three disagree and say it was obvious it did not. He cannot be forced to take a provisional can he? So this rule essentially offers the person hitting the ability to not have to risk going OOB again and hitting 4 from the middle of the fairway where the ball went OOB. Or am I reading the rules incorrectly?
