I'm wanting to know if anyone on this forum has played Cog Hill's Dubsdread and advice/strategy on how to attack the course? Im playing this weekend as part of a birthday package and have been practicing non-stop for the last several days. I just wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions before this weekend comes around...

I played it last year. Played off the BMW setup and got slaughtered. Shot an 89. I would say you really need to drive it straight as the timber is very penal. The greens were not too bad but make sure you practice your sand game if you are not striking the ball well. Have Fun!!

I played it for the first time last year and was pretty nervous too. Don't be, it's actually a pretty straightforward course. The only advice I have is take a GPS if you can.

I've played it a handful of times. Haven't played the new design but the best I've ever shot on that course from the back was 75. The weird thing about that course is that it's very tough but very fair. A few holes are tight but other than that the fairways are generous, the greens are receptive, and the sand is wonderful. Just make sure you play the proper tees, don't be stupid and play the tips (7600 yards) or you won't have fun. Still wish they hadn't changed 16, that approach was one of the best in all of golf.
