Just began playing golf this year. I broke 100 recently, and I am close to playing bogey golf. I hope to break 90 soon. After using a set of clones (Pinemeadow), I am now looking to upgrade — beginning first with my irons. After some online research, I am looking at the Adams A4 and the TM Burners.

I will most likely go to Golfsmith this week to try out both sets, but I wanted to get some opinions first.

Thanks so much.

They are totally different clubs. A4's are forgeds, the Burners are not. Burner's are a game improvement iron, the A4's are not as much Game Improvement.

The Adams A4's are by far the better club, but they are too fine tuned for your game. Beginners would be better suited for the Burners.

I have the A4s and have played the Burners. The Burners and very forgiving clubs. But the A4s are fairly forgiving too, especially on hits out near the toe. They do have that sweet feeling when you connect well. I find the shafts, DG SL very nice as they are lighter than standard DG. My only wish would have been a 4 iron instead of the hybrid. The hybrids are nice, but having two is not really necessary and it can give me a 15 yard gap between the 5 and 4H. I got them last year on a deal for $450.
