Shaft Weight

Does anybody know the weight of the stock shaft in the Callaway X460 Tour driver and the matching X Tour fairway wood? It is the Fujikura Tour Platform 26.3 shaft, but I don't see a weight.

67 and 68 gram. Just visit Callaway site, go to "clubs" - "classic clubs" and you'll find all specs !

Thanks... The reason I ask is that I have the Ben Hogan CFT ti hybrids and both of them have the Aldila NVS shaft which I love. I found a good deal on those shafts online and was thinking about putting them in my driver and 3w... however, the shaft weight on the NVS that I found cheap online is 85 grams, is that too heavy?

Mostly heavier shafts are stiffer (less Torque) and will decrease the swingweight, put on lightweight grips to compensate and you might have a correct swingweight again.

Low torque might mean too less torque, which will multiply hooks and slices if you suffer from these now......

Thanks... I do have a problem with slicing... If I added lead tape to my driver would/could that help? Where would I apply the tape to the club?

Slicing is a swing problem, forget the leadtape thing, now you most likely come over the top, because you are swinging to hard at the ball, try to focus on tempo and accelerate trough the ball instead of applying too much force at the start of the downswing, try to come down from the inside more.

Most people put leadtape at the wrong side,,,,, if you would go for leadtape (which isn't advisable), put it close to the neck, not on the toe.

I am working on the swing and tempo... slow progress... Considering that leadtape is cheap I thought I'd try it out, If it doesn't work, oh well... Thanks for your help, I appreciate it.
