Callaway don't make them anymore.

I think they were callaways highest spinning ball at the time.
Most of their balls back them were high spin.

I don't think you can go wrong with them for only 50 dollars.

Not sure how much of a difference it is but I've played a sleeve of Callaway HX Hot before and they're actually pretty decent balls for the price. I'm not quite sold on the weird hexagonal shape dimples and not quite sure it adds much benefit but as far as spin control goes, I didn't really have much to complain about it.

If the HX Tour is anything like the I series balls, the I series balls are pretty damn nice. Definitely not as hyped as ProV1's but performance wise, they're great balls.

I've been playing the HX Hots for a while now, and I feel it has improved my game. It is one of the only balls I have played where I can control what it does, and it is the only ball I have used that I actually got back spin on (not just check up, but rolling back)

HX Tour doesn't spin as much as the Tour 56. I thought it was one of the best performers out there until they came out with the Tour ix, I like it better.

HX Tour was Callaway's premium ball before the Tour i and i(x) [which was replaced with the i(s) and i(z)]... There was the HX Tour and HX Tour 56, with the 56 being the ball with more spin.
