Does anyone have any recommendations for Short Game lessons in NJ ? I would like to concentrate more on Putting...i am sick and tired of 3 putting. Infact, i dont even know what the hell i am doing when it comes to putting anymore :(

Just noticed this thread and even though it's years old but thought I might add something. I also live in Bergen county but I think I'd be inclined to go to GolfTec versus driving all that way out to Crystal Springs. There's one in Englewood and Paramus.

On another note, have you tried reading Stan Utley's book on putting? It's a great book with a very simple and repeatable technique. The key to consistent putting is distance control and practice. His method is very natural and feel based. I'd give it a shot and it only costs like $10 or so.

Driver: Callaway RAZR Hawk 10.5°
3W: Callaway RAZR Hawk 15°
3I Hybrid: TaylorMade Burner 19°
Irons: MP-58 4 - PW, Project X Rifle 6.0
Wedges: Eidolon Chrome Finish 51° and 55° CG10 60 low bounce

Putter: Scotty Cameron Newport 2 Mid Slant

Ball: TaylorMade Penta

    • Day 21 - 2026-01-10 More mirror work focused on hip.
    • I appreciate that you have taken the time to come back and update. Based on what was previously discussed I feel like the points were; forged, feel good, price, and possibly players distance. If you like the "looks" of those Maxfli irons and if price is a major point, then going straight to the source, Maltby, might make sense. Specifically, the TS3 iron. I was looking into this myself and found some reviews: Fit2YouGolf, Lets Play Thru, and ELITE FIT GOLF. As per your update I found the Maxfli to be ~$1300 fitted the way I wanted. Where the TS3 with the same fitting and assembled by Golfworks was less than $750. I suppose the downside is to actually hit the iron you will need to get lucky and find someone in your golf circle who will let you hit theirs or order a 6 or 7 iron to test. However, the way I look at that is being equivalent to some fittings. If you like the results and buy, then the fitting is free, otherwise the price of the fitting is a sunk cost. If name brand is important, then I submit for your consideration - THE BEST OVERALL IRON of 2024...... FACT !! 😉 A bit tongue in cheek that but also, I feel some good points were discussed.
    • Day 150 1-10 focus on arching the wrist and getting the ball to go left. Recorded, hit foam balls.
    • Day 467 - 2026-01-10 Practiced at Pinehurst every day I was there, and before Junior Elite this morning I got fifteen minutes of backswing checks in the mirror in.
