So recently I have not been able to hit a green to save my life. Every iron shot is pulled. Sometimes only a little, most of the time its a big pull. Here is a video of my swing, not hitting a ball, with a 60 degree wedge. Please give me any advice to get rid of my pulled shots, or improve my swing in any way. Please let me know if this video is any good and how I can improve the video for my next attempt.

You need to be hitting a real golf ball to get an idea of your swing, also a 60* isn't really a good example of your swing either

your swing is really tight......
I don't know how to describe it but if you watch a pro's swing they're a lot more "loose", your a strong guy and you look like your trying to use all arms in your swing. (hopefully somebody else can expand on this better)

You also stop your follow through a bit short, you should be turned fully towards the target at finish, your not transferring all your weight over to your left side and probably losing a little bit of distance.

Nice setup though.

should I bother doing another video with a 7i iron but still no ball?

do you have some airflow balls?

You'd be amazed by the difference. When I'm practice swinging with a wedge without a ball I take no divot, add even an airflow ball and I'll come down steeper on it and take a bit of a divot.

completely wrong angle lol.
From this angle it looks pretty good, nice shoulder turn, on plane (from the bit I can see) and a lot more weight shift compared to the other video (which was only a 60*).
and a full follow through.

that swing always results in a pulled shot, or I am that bad at aiming.

have you ever worked on your alignment?

You'd be surprised how much you can aim left/right, it could make a big difference. you could also be doing something that'd hard to see from that view though

like you go to the range and aim at a target.

then you put a club along your feet and step back and see where it aims. It's hard to hit the green when your not aiming right.

I will try looking at that. What I have been doing is standing behind hte ball, pick a target inline with the pin about a foot or 2 in front of my ball. I usually put a tee down or something. Than set up to that spot and hit the ball. But it always goes left. What I have been doing to pull the ball a little less is moving my right foot back. It works but is hard to be consistent with it.

you've got a great backswing.

your not bad coming down at "9 o clock"
then things collapse, instead of driving with your hips and turning you just flip over your wrists. You've lost all the power that you've stored on the backswing well before impact.

have a look at tiger at impact, he's pushed forward his hips and is releasing all his power at impact.
stop your's before impact and you'll see a different story.

Hopefully some of the other guys can show you what to do about it.

1st swing is the one I analysed.

Your stance is a little narrow too, should be shoulder width apart. not sure how major a problem it is though

So at around 6 seconds in my hips are done turning when they should still be turning?
