I am going to try to collect golf balls from the woods at my course. Are they're people here that would be willing to buy them. Give me some prices, you would think is reasonable for different types of balls.

Take alook at eBay. There are a few sellers that sell "lots" of 50 or "lots" of 100 golf balls. You can buy either a mix of different balls or all of one kind. Each set is rated as to quality. I actually purchased a "lot" of 100 mint golf balls and shipping from FL to AZ was only $10 due to 100 balls fitting into a USPS "flat rate box". All the balls appear brand new.

Yeah its rough reselling.

You can get maybe $15 for a dozen proV1's that look like they were taken out of the sleeve and hit directly in the woods. Any inkling of a scuff, its basically a AA ball or worse. My favorite thing is buying a 100 or so Penta's or ProV's at the start of the year from the eBay users. Usually lasts me the whole season.

Waiting out the 2 feet of snow that just dropped on the course....

Just get permission before you go out looking for golf balls. You can also ask the pro shop if they'd help you sell them. It will be hard to compete in price with online used ball sellers. I buy used Pro V1's from a bucket once in awhile at a course I go to. I believe they get them online and put them in the bucket. They sell the balls for $1 each and I get to pick the good quality ones. Hopefully you can ziploc bag golf balls in packs of 12 and try selling them at the pro shop. Or you can turn in all the balls you find to the pro shop in return for free rounds at the course.

If your course ever runs along a public street you could always try selling them there. I played at a course recently where you need to pass through a neighborhood to jump holes. Setup right on the street was a guy selling used golf balls out of the back of his truck.

I've also played at a course where a homeless gentleman was walking through the trees picking up balls and selling them. I tossed the guy a few bucks. At least he was trying to make an honest buck.

I would be intersted in buying them. I used to buy relaoded balls from my golf shop, but the shop has since gone out of business. Is there any reason why one should not buy the reload balls?

Definitely purchased reloaded ProV1 balls last week for $13. Can't go wrong with that price at all.

Someone will buy them. We bought 200 or so Titleist golf balls at a yardsale for $4!! We got 150 or more that were mint condition. That was a steal, but you should get $10-15 for a dozen big name balls if they're mint. Less if they show ware and tear.

I'd be interested in buying any tour level balls you find. (prov1, hx tour, tour i/x, penta, etc)

nike sq dymo str8 fit 9.5º  stiff
cobra baffler 3 wood stiff / cobra baffler 18º hybrid stiff
cobra sz irons stiff (soon to be bridgestone j33)
Cleveland 52, 56, 60 cg14
odyssey 2 dot putter / taylormade penta tp, prov1, callaway hx tour (have a few boxes of each from the past couple seasons)

    • On my trip at Bandon. I have a couple of best shots come to mind. I had kind of a stupidly good short game shot out of some nasty stuff. I didn't really make any bombs putting.  I could say any drive I hit straight that was hitting directly into the wind, lol. That was nasty. I literally hit a ball like 150 yards right. I am going with my drive on hole 18 at Old MacDonald. 469 yard par 4, down wind. The narrowest fairway on the course, and you have to navigate two sets of bunkers. I stripe one down the middle, catch the slope and have to roll out to about 95 yards to the pin. So yea, that 370-ish drive in the fairway on a 469 par 4 wins the shot of the week.
    • Day 2: mirror work while watching some TV. Checking on some backswing stuff primarily - making sure I’m still steep enough in the backswing.
    • Day 88 (28 Jul 25) - Short session this afternoon after a full day of yard work at the house.  Worked on setup and tempo thru the shot with the 52° wedge in the backyard.  Hit about 20 balls total - just staying focused on the process.
    • Day 10: More putting with the metronome. Short putts feel really slow and long putts feel really fast. Getting more comfortable every day.
    • Day 301 - 2025-07-28 Watched a lot of golf today at Fox Chapel, but then came home and did some mirror work. Re-dedicated. Which is saying something, as I've been playing okay. But relying on my athleticism to just do "okay."
