Had a good session with my instructor today. Toward the end of the hour, my swing was feeling pretty good.

The major breakthrough today was basically getting my hands to whip through the ball. I was so hung up on staying connected and using my body to power the shot, that I was heaving at the ball with my shoulders. This amounted to slow swing speed, an OTT path, loss of balance, etc. The feeling I had at the end of my session today was: make your backswing and then keep the shoulders back as the hands fire through . This helped me hit the ball more solidly, and with better speed.

What's great is that I can practice everyday at this indoor golf center, and an instructor is there to give me feedback. With other lessons, I'd see the instructor for an hour and then be on my own for the rest of the week, wondering if I was even practicing the right things. I think this current set-up is going to be alot more helpful.
