Practice 1/13

Started off hitting a few balls with a 7-iron, and looking at the video. Even when I try to make a 3/4 swing my arms are overswinging, so I need to tighten that up. Also looks like the arms are still crashing into the body on follow-through (chicken wing).

Instructor had me doing an exercise where I pre-set my hips completely open to the target and hit balls from this position. I guess he's trying to get me to have the hips open at impact so the arms have room to swing through. Definitely seemed to help when I returned to making normal swings.

Also had some fun messing around on a simulator, trying to hit specific yardages. The pro was pretty amazing-- I'd tell him to hit a 7-iron 156, 160, 148, and he could make a swing that would be within a couple yards everytime.
