you know, you get industrious in winter in Minnesota.

The last three weeks i've started chipping in our finished basement/daughter's playroom. I'll chip around with my 60 and PW (47) and Bailey will just chase the ball around. I'll take the cushion to her "place and practice landing chips there. I'll put her foam chair in front of me, open up the face and use it as a flop wall. When I want a challenge, i'll try to chip balls through her legs while walking...

Strange as it seems, i've probably been hit 300 chips a day, over the past few weeks, I have probably chipped much more than i probably have in the past 4 years put together,

Actually my chipping has actually gotten much better. One of my biggest issues was that I wasn't always consistent hitting my chips "crisp". I rarely chunk or scull one, but I often will land a chip where I want and not have the amount of spin i want on it.

My big A-ha-- Put your nose over the ball, like you are putting. I noticed that I have been getting very upright with my chips. Getting my nose over the ball like when i putt has dramatically improved my chipping.

Another key insight i got. (Don't want to call it a change, because I always did it, but it wasn't necessarily a swing thought) is to focus on keeping the toe of the wedge on the ground at address. (enabled by the nose over the ball).
