practice makes perfect

we have a new analyst on our team named justin. nice young kid, very smart. heard through the grapevine that he played golf at Central Arkansas.

Anyway, we were in a meeting thursday and I made an air golf swing waiting for some software to load. I said, "what do you think?" he said, "horrible." He went on to find a swing flaw in my air swing-- he rotate my right hand maybe 5 degrees to get more on top on the golf club...

so I go to the bubble today to smack some balls around for 30 minutes. wow... one of the best practice sessions I can remember; nearly every ball true. It was one of those sessions where you want to leave as soon as possible so you can leave with that level of confidence. Then you feel guilty for not hitting enough balls.

one more thing i that found that works is a good rhythm drill to help you warm up. Take your normal stance. Go to the top of your backswing and start your downswing until the club is paralell to the ground. Instead of swing through the balls, return to the top of the backswing and repeat. After 3 or 4 times, don't stop and swing through the ball. This does a great job of loosening you up and ensuring that you are in the right position
