My local course will be shut down tomorrow.
I got a good farewell round in an clocked my second eagle of 2010 even though it was pouring rain.

Hopefully the course will be bought and I'll be able to get back soon.
I'm really annoyed though, I wanted to enter a big competition during the summer but I needed to have my application in by the end of April, looks like that won't happen.

The local range will still be open so I'll continue working on my swing and I'll get my handicap down.

Well there's a few courses dotted around, Adare Manor is only 15 minutes away but it's too expensive obviously.

The most realistic option is a Pay & Play course 30min away, not very good but it's golf.

Wow... that sucks man. Sorry to hear that. The course I grew up playing on was closed down a few years back. It was a REAL crappy 9 hole cow pasture... but I still miss it. Hopefully you're right and someone buys it up and keeps it operating.
