Well mother nature and I had a conflict of interest this weekend
We recieved about 1.5" of snow in one day...it was like friggen November here
And winds over 100 + mph - wow
So needless to say, I did NOT golf this weekend
I was almost nervous to go as well.....maybe more excited I guess
So an indoor practice session was in order

We headed to the Golf Dome here in the city for an hour session or so
Now i despise indoor golf.....just cant stand hitting off mats - but I made the best of this session
I was able to figure to my hook - I was coming OTT a bit and releaseing my hands to early
couple swings and everything seems to be back in order (thank god)
Played a few games w a buddy w the wedges - hitting to certain spots on the floor - it was actually really fun! (and man those new VR wedgies are soo nice!!!)

Didn't even pull driver - im just over this thing
It's out and a new "build" is on the way
I picked up a FUBUKI Tour x5ct Stiff (tipped 1.25") measuring 45" - so it will play closer to an X rather than a S
combined that w a brand new Bridgestone J33R head 9.5º - all the reviews were amazing on this head, so i had to try it out
the head is a super low spin and the shaft is about a low/mid traj. - the combo should be good
and of course wrapped in a Tacki Mac Itomic White grip (these things are amazing)

Sunday is suppose to be 15º Celcius and sunny....new time is booked for 11:46
Trying to get out and putt before the round, but its raining for the next 3 days.......man Mother Nature needs to get off my back already!

"My swing is homemade - but I have perfect flaws!" - Me

well we woke up to another snowfall last night....arrghhhh....
just a skiff, but still
weekend is looking great - actually Friday and on looks to be double digits and sunny (praying for that first round)

They're downgrading tonights storm - only 2-5 cm of snow and some rain during the day tomorrow (down from 15-20cm of the white stuff). Woot!! I'm glad I didn't cancel my Thursday tee time. Are the kids still saying "stoked"?

Mizuno MP600 driver, Cleveland '09 Launcher 3-wood, Callaway FTiz 18 degree hybrid, Cleveland TA1 3-9, Scratch SS8620 47, 53, 58, Cleveland Classic 2 mid-mallet, Bridgestone B330S, Sun Mountain four5.

rather than start a new blog, I thought i would come back to this one
my first round of the year will be tomorrow @ 12:30
its has been a VERY stressful week and work has pissed me off ALL WEEK!! aarrgghh..........
screw it, im takin the day off and voice mail will say "sorry you missed me, im in meetings all day w limted access to email and voice mail. I will return your call as time permits. Thanks for calling!" ............. hahahhah!!!!

so to get back out there is gonna be great
although we got pounded w rain, its suppose to be sunny, 18 degrees celcius and low winds - HELLO SHORTS! break out the whities!! haha!

I hit the practice green this morning, but dude was it cold....+2 and 20km/hr winds = -3 or so....i could only stay out for about 45 mins
my hands were numb and snot was runnin down my face
hit some puts and a fw 30yd and in chips.......starting to get some feel back, but tough to practice when ur hands are cold

so...IF i break 90 tomorrow i'll be happy!! hahahha!!!!!!
stay tuned....

PS - my Sens are up 1-0 against Erik's (iacas) Pens..........SAWEEET!!!!!!!......maybe he wont read this...hahha!
PPS - i have an official hcp now, registered w the CPGA and all......even though it's only my last 7 rounds of last year, its enough to enter tourny's
So as soon i get the proper 18 or 20 rounds in, I will see what it comes out as........lowest score of the 7 was 73 and highest was 78

    • Yes, this is the 2024 model. DSG ruined what Callaway perfected for most golfers. A darn good 3 piece golf ball. Now it's a 2 piece cheap ball. To me a 2 piece ball is fine and a 3 piece budget ball is better. I prefer a slightly harder ball, something in the 65-75 compression range that will perform similar to the old Gamer. The Titleist tru-feel is pretty good. I planned on giving Maxfli straightfli a try.
    • Is that the current generation Gamer? Another old standby for a firm and inexpensive ball is Pinnacle.  There are two models, the Rush and the Soft, but I don’t know what compression they are.
    • Good advice, but according to DSG website it is a 45 compression ball. My current ball is the Top-flite Gamer at 70. 45 is too low for me to go.
    • The 3 piece Maxfli Trifli is 2 dozen for $35.  The Trifli does not feel as soft as the Maxfli Softfli, which is why I like it. Other options would be one of the Srixons, which have a buy 2 get 1 free offer.
    • I have been carrying a 7 wood more often this year.  It’s especially handy if you have a downhill lie to an uphill green.  It’s also handy if the rough on the course is deep.
