Anyone playing tiger woods pga tour 11 for the Wii? I recently got it, even built myself a actual club that holds the wiimote at the end of an old wedge I cut in half.

Seems like a pretty good sim, if nothing else keeps me swinging through the northeast off season until a range opens up.

I just got it this Christmas and love it. I like how there is a different swing difficulty for everyone, the tour pro mode is pretty realistic and I shoot scores I would in real life, and at the other end of the spectrum the all play mode is super easy and I was able to get in 18 holes on 37 strokes!

And, have you tried the Ryder Cup mode yet? Me and my friends have a blast playing it, and even played a 50 cents a hole round the other night (I won 2 dollars). It's a fun game and will keep my occupied during un-golfable weather.

I played a 9 hole round with my mother tonight, and as expected, she power sliced all her drives, mis hit most iron shots, etc...This was while using the tiger woods character.

This game really does require some kind of golf swing to play it well. Slicers slice, hookers hook, etc....

Okay im gettin the game now. Its only like $50AUD so why not. I know its not like swinging a real club but i believe it will help me practice some fundamentals, like hips forward, and swinging in to out.

Besides golf is my 2nd sport behind cricket in summer and i dont get time to go to the course much.

If nothing else it will keep your swing loose. Having played the game a hell of a lot, I feel ready to hit the course.

I really really suggest you invest in the Chicken Stick. Simply holding a real grip instead of the square wiimote makes the game 10x more immersive and enjoyable.

I would argue its the best video game accessory of all time.

    • Played Sunday and implemented the Mayo spinner. Hit my second shot long and left on three to a bare lie. I have seen this shot to a tucked pin but I don’t swing across it enough and hit it too far with a ton of spin but it rolled into the bunker. I pulled my approach short and left on ten to a horrible lie with about 3’ of rise to a tucked pin maybe 5’ on the green. Ball is in a damp lie with debris behind and in front of the ball. Hit it to 3.5’ but horseshoed the putt around the right edge, which was a common miss. I hooked my tee shot into an unplayable lie in the hazard on the left side of the par 5 16th. Hit a great recovery that rolled to about 45 yards short of the back right pin. Hit the spinner over a bumpy green that rolled just over the ridge to 3’. Sank the straight 2.5’ putt. Felt like I had good control of these shots!
