I am taking the plunge and switching to S&T.; The more I’ve read about the S&T method, the more it made sense especially because I do a lot of the principles of the swing to begin with. Consistent ball striking is my goal (I am half decent with the close game and distance was never a problem).
I have recently purchased the book by Bennett/Plummer and as I am going through it appears the ultimate goal to end up with a shot that starts out right and draws in. If that's the case, would it make sense to play a ball with a lot of spin so has the ability to draw in?

That's the stock shot because a ball hit below low point from a neutral alignment still has the club traveling down, out, and forward. That's all.

As for the ball, it's pretty irrelevant. Choose a less expensive "distance" ball if you need the slight advantage off the tee (or you lose lots of balls) and don't care about added spin in the short game. Buy the more spinny balls if you're decent and can get the ball to behave as you like on the shorter shots.
