Hello Everyone,

I am new to this forum but searched high and low for reviews on this DVD by a Golf Instructor named Marc Minier.  Does anyone know if this DVD is as remarkable as it sounds?  I'm a weekend golfer with a pretty high handicap, but my main issue right now is consistency.

I have viewed a DVD called "AJ Bonar's Truth about Golf" and it was actually helpful but I feel like this is exactly the same thing.

I feel if I was more comfortable with my swing and made better contact, I would lower my handicap significantly and any help I can get from learning tools like DVDs is always appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris

Never seen it, but I posted one of the guys videos in your other thread. My advice is don't.

Read the Impact Zone by Bobby Clampett instead... this is my advice to all brand new golfers once they learn proper setup.

I've got the DVD and I found it a real help. I've seen lots of Darrrell Klassen's DVDs and he's good but I just find Marc's advice more relevant to me. Since adopting the "Squaring it Up" style, my distance has increased by 20-30 metres and my accuracy is unbelievable. I'm still not a huge hitter but I can be on the green on any Par 4 for 3 and looking for that single putt. But if a take 2 putts I'm still OK  given my handicap. So I would say definitely look for the DVD. Marc's previous one called something like "Body swings the plane" was really good and stopped my from swaying.

    • I believe that losing a tour card is too extreme but definitely agree that more needs to be done to prevent slow play.
    • Its way past time both tours  have  major  penalties for  slow  play. I  hate  it when they say" This group is  on the  clock". Big damn deal. Issue  penalties. Maybe Hull is a  bit too harsh but  its time a slew  of  2 stroke  penalties start  being  issued.     Charley Hull is fed up with slow play on the LPGA, so she offered a ‘ruthless’ solution “I’m quite ruthless, but I said, ‘Listen, if you get three bad timings, every time it’s a tee shot penalty; if you have three of them, you lose your Tour card instantly.’ I’m sure that would hurry a lot of people up, and they won’t want to lose their Tour card. That would kill the slow play, but they would never do that.” Who knows if that will work. But if it does not, maybe the PGA Tour should adopt Hull’s idea. The LPGA should, too, or at least assess penalty strokes for slow play. Five-hour rounds for a final group on Sunday is unacceptable and a quick way to lose interest and engagement from fans.

    • A hair under 190. It was pretty downhill, though, so I think we were playing between 180-185 to the pin. My 6 iron went 187 according to shot scope and ended up 18 feet away.
    • That's a tough pin on 14 at TR, had to make the hole play much longer, how far was that shot? I've only played that hole with a front pin.
