Soooo I went to Dick's to purchase a pair of winter boots had I had to walk by the golfing section.... & since there was 13 inches of snow for the past two straight months I decided to grab any driver off the shelf (Callaway new tour driver) and just take a couple of swings for the sake of my handicap for the up coming season.

I slapped an impact sticker on the face and this is what happened.....

After I hit about a 10 balls (w/ two different stickers)... this is what I seem to be doing right now.

Any tips?

Hitting in a tight cluster on the heel is indicative of the club being too long. Also, maybe i'd help if you addressed the ball at the toe.

...and I thought the same thing.  So, first, I took a couple steps back from the ball where when I addressed it.... the toe of the driver didn't even touch the ball.  Then, I stepped closer to the ball and when I addressed it again... the heel was past the ball.

All the same strikes on the club face.  I went from being to far from the ball and too close to the ball and I had all the same strikes on the club face.

I don't understand what you are saying here, did you step back a few inches and try that swing again? If so what happened?

It ain't bragging if you can do it.

Don't move around like that, you will subconsciously compensate for it.  Instead, address the ball like you normally would and swing away to get your contact pattern.  Now, discard that club and get a shorter shafted club (shortening up on the club should also give the same effect) and get the pattern from that one.  Compare the two to determine the end result.  Club fitters don't get you to move around all over the place, they tailor the club to you, not the other way around (which you were doing).

1) Set up to the ball with your driver like you normally do.  Then move your clubhead just off of the ground so the face is right behind the ball.  you will see that since you are teeing the ball up, the center of the face is not lined up with the ball.

So when you go to set up, keep the driver off the ground with the center of the face lined up with the ball.  then either swing from there or put the driver back on the ground from there.

2)  I have caught myself with my weight too far on my toes instead of the middle of my feet.  i would catch everything near the heel and even had a bout with the shanks.

3)  If you are set up too close to the ball you might be giving yourself to little of room to extend and will hit it too far in on the face...with the driver i like to set up so my hands are straight under my eyes.

Those are three things i would think of if I were hitting on the inside of the face, which i have a tendency to do from time to time.

Yep.... stepped back to where I was addressing the ball with the VERY tip of the toe of the driver.  Then I stepped up and addressed it with the end of the club face and both times I was hitting in the EXACT same place on the club face.
