In the past I have primarily used an interlocking grip. However, I have been experimenting with different grips during the last few weeks and have found that the so called "baseball grip" enables me to release the club more consistently giving a better contact with the golf ball. This has enabled me to hit the ball longer without any extra effort. Anybody else had similar experiences?

Honestly, there is no "best grip" for all golfers.

Its going to change from person to person. Two of the top tour players use different grips. Tiger uses an interlocking, and Furyk uses an overlapping.

You just gotta experiment and stick with what works best for you.

I use the baseball grip, maybe because I grew up playing baseball.

I use the overlapping grip because after a few holes with the interlocking grip my pinky finger starts to hurt.

      New Maxfli Forged Irons - $800!

      I appreciate that you have taken the time to come back and update. Based on what was previously discussed I feel like the points were; forged, feel good, price, and possibly players distance. If you like the "looks" of those Maxfli irons and if price is a major point, then going straight to the source, Maltby, might make sense. Specifically, the TS3 iron. I was looking into this myself and found some reviews: Fit2YouGolf, Lets Play Thru, and ELITE FIT GOLF. As per your update I found the Maxfli to be ~$1300 fitted the way I wanted. Where the TS3 with the same fitting and assembled by Golfworks was less than $750. I suppose the downside is to actually hit the iron you will need to get lucky and find someone in your golf circle who will let you hit theirs or order a 6 or 7 iron to test. However, the way I look at that is being equivalent to some fittings. If you like the results and buy, then the fitting is free, otherwise the price of the fitting is a sunk cost. If name brand is important, then I submit for your consideration - THE BEST OVERALL IRON of 2024...... FACT !! 😉 A bit tongue in cheek that but also, I feel some good points were discussed.
