i started playing golf about 8 years ago but dont play very often.i bought a set of king cobra ss oversized irons with mid flex-low kick.since ive had them ive always hit the ball left.lately its been getting a bit worse.also i bought a nike 10 degree driver reg flex mid-kick and have always hooked the ball viciously if i want to put a full swing on it.ive learned to tone it down a bit and now i have a slight draw but i know i have more distance than what i average.

would a stiff shaft benefit me more than the reg?

here are my distances

driver  250-280

3wd    215-225

4i   180-190

5i   170-175

6i   160-165

7i   145-155

8i   135-140

9i   120-130

pw 115-120

sw   80-90

thanks in advance!

seems to me like stiff shafts could benefit you. however, go to a local golf shop and get your swing speed measured.

I will assume you are right handed. If you are pulling your shots left, could be that you are opening you shoulders to much before contact.try to keep your shoulders more square to the ball. or, you are releasing to quick and that could pull or hook the ball left. try to hold off on the release a little longer. your hands should be ahead of the ball at contact. if you dont want to change your swing cause you feel comfortable.....simply move your foot position forward a little. like an inch or 2. if I start to pull/hook the ball a little more than I want to, I will move the ball further back in my position. hope this helps

golf is a lot like life. the more you enjoy it, the better off you are. a3_biggrin.gif
