Titleist 909 vs 910 driver, is it worth it to upgrade if you only need standard settings???

I agree with the notion other posters have made that the swing is ever evolving and down the road your D3 possibly may no longer be the proper fit that it is today. The nice thing about what your doing is once it becomes time to make that change the 910's will be more prevalent in the used club market and you can shop around for the 910 and save yourself some $$$ and you hadn't sacrificed a thing since your D3 is the right club for you today. Well played!

I hit a used 910D2 today. I never thought that I could hit a Titleist club... But man it was amazing. I hit a lot of drivers today. I warmed up and then we put me on a system and went about analyzing my swing, ball flight, spin, ball speed, distance..

The thing to know here is that I have only been at this for about a year and change. I was in a near fatal car crash in December 2010. Doc said hit golf balls to make my lower back work better. Now having said that my swing speed clocks in at about 85 to 90 mph. My back is getting looser and better so I will, as soon as I figure out how, begin to increase the club head speed.

Back to today... :) I hit the following...

AdamsGolf F11, Regular, graphite, 10.5 (mine)

Titleist 910D2, Regular, graphite, 10.5

Rocketballz, Regular, graphite, 10.5

Cleveland Golf UL, Regular, graphite, 10.5

I thought that I would hit the RBZ a ton. When I tried the Fairway Woods (3 & 5)  that is exactly what happened. The 3 wood went 225 + roll, the 5 wood went 210 + roll. But that isn't what happened. It made it to the 228 range as did the Adams & Titleist. I don't have shot shaping. But I am straight. I would like to be long as well, but that will come.

I liked the feel of it though, the Titleist.

I have looked and there aren't any 909D2's around for me to try. So, what about the 909's? Do they feel the same?

Oh, and apparently I have outgrown the 10.5. Yeah! They suggested that I tee it up lower, but to get it that low I will be hitting the deck before I hit the ball. (iron shot low).

I like the idea of the adjustable driver. If I outgrow the club can I make those minor adjustments to not make it obsolete? What do you think?
