I've had my new Fastback 1 (35", plumbers neck, 15 gram weights) for a couple weeks, and I'm loving it. Thought I'd show it off to some folks who can appreciate it. (My immediate family doesn't seem to care...pshhh!)

It's the swing weight. The standard for this putter has two 10-gram weights, and some even come with 20-gram weights. I settled on the 15's even though with the 20's I felt like I was making a smoother stroke, but my distance control was spot-on with the 15's.

I didn't even notice that it is a 35 inch putter. they come with 10 gram weights, but you go 15 instead. and you have the custom sticker for the extra weight. thanks for clearing that up.

where did you get fitted for it?

I'm not sure about why that sticker was on there. It was an off the shelf putter at Pro Golf Discount in Tacoma.  I played with 15+ putters for almost 2 hours at the store before I settled on the Scotty. It was love at first putt. As far as fitting goes, this is my 6th putter, so I've got the length/lie/style down now. The weight I can tinker with, so this will be in the bag for quite some time.

oh i see. well, the sticker is because of the extra weight. it is a "custom" made putter from scotty cameron. even though it is only an extra 5 gram weight, it is still considered a custom made putter. therefore, the cool sticker. it's different is all

Great looking putter, really like the look of the fastback No. 1.  Did it come with 15g weights?

It sure did. I don't think it feels very heavy, though. Juuuust right would be my description.

    • _sigh_ so close to red text.  Went away for three days, but didn't do a practice morning-of-departure (Friday) nor evening-of-return (Sunday), so I had three misses, back to day one. Day 1, May 4 2026.  At home today, spent nearly an hour in my practice room, hitting about three dozen practice balls, primarily with my 6-iron.
    • Day 254 5-4 Arms off chest in backswing and downswing. Short swing, pause and then hit.  Hit foam balls. Keeping arching of wrist a focus as well.
    • I would think of it in terms of time. The time it takes to get the arm angle into a good position to deliver the club with proper shaft lean. Another component is rotation, but that is also a matter of timing. It relates to how the body stalls to give the golfer time to hit the ball. If you have to get 80+ degrees out of that right elbow in one third of a second versus 50 degrees in the same time then you have to steal time from somewhere. It is usually body rotation. That does not help with shaft lean.  I agree in that amateurs tend to make the swing more complicated than pro golfers.
