Today, on the first hole, I blade my 85 yard wedge over the green on the par 5 under a tree.  I manage to get it on the green to 3 putt...Double...I quickly try to review what we all said on this thread and decide to stay shot by shot and not panic.  I go bogey, bogey, bogey and I am now 5 over after 4 holes.  Par the next three and finish bogey-bogey for a 43.  The next hole I hit an amazing pitch to 6 feet and three putt for a double!  Now I am really trying to just focus on the quality of the shot.  Par-par-par-par-birdie...nice stretch.  Thinking I am somebody again I fall off a wedge (I just hit a wedge to 2 feet for the kick in bird) to leave it short.  Trying to get cute I chunk then get on for another double.  A bogey on 17 and then when I least expect it finish with a bird on 18 for an 82. I never panicked, but did get too careless with some shots that I lost focus on, but being 5 over after 4, most people would think 10 over was out of the question.  Now this round equates to a 9.2 for cap purposes and will get thrown out, but I am glad I didn't let it ruin my day as it could have been worse.  Funny, at the first hole sitting at 85 yards I was thinking how nice it is to have a legit birdie chance and then got sloppy.  I guess that shows me for trying to think score and not shot quality.

    • Day  3 (4 May 24) - Easy pitch day with 9i in the backyard.  Worked on staying smooth thru impact, keeping shots to 20yds or less.
    • From what I’ve read, it was in the manufacturing process and how the covers were nicking pretty easy.  He has had to resource his factory as the one used earlier is now a TM owned facility.  Initial reports seem to indicate the redesign is going to be a winner…
    • Day 129: 5/4/24 Stack training but could not certify my warmup speed. Dealing with a pulled neck muscle. Chips and pitches at a local course for about 15 minutes.
    • Typically less than 50. I find this can be affected by the "CART" signs on a given course. I don't like taking my rangefinder out of the cart and carrying it around to the green. I am very fearful I will leave it somewhere.
    • First ever holed out greenside bunker shot! It's crazy it took this long to finally get one during a round, but the cold streak is officially over. Hole 6 on the Palmer Course at PGAN. I hit my driver like 225 into a really stiff wind, then worm burned a hybrid into the bunker. I was about I dunno, 40-45 feet away. Birdie! Let's go! The red Xs the approximate location of each shot.  Really fun!!
