After playing my last round of golf, I found that my right wrist was unusually sore. What's weird to me is that only my right wrist hurts and not both.

Do any of you guys have this problem or what? Or do you think this is due to having a bad swing?

As a lefty that is your lead wrist so if you took some big divots it's possible you jammed or slightly sprained it.  If it's not bruised or swollen I wouldn't worry about it unless the pain persisted for days.

It's starting to go away, but I may see

Yeah, that's possible. I was trying so many different swings during my last round. What's weird was that it started hurting a few days after the round.

It could be soft tissue or muscle related.  It's not uncommon to experience Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS) and it usually kicks in 24 - 72 hours after the activity.

Thanks newtogolf. I also have a question for you.

I was just curious; Do you experience the same problem, as you are a lefty like me?

I haven't but that's more because my swing isn't where it needs to be.  I'm trying to break some bad habits of sweeping the ball, and maintain a flying wedge on follow through.  I have felt some slight pain in my right elbow as a result of hitting the mat or turf too hard though.

I used to sweep the ball myself, but changed that this year. I think this change is what hurt my wrist.

    • Day 137 (16 Sep 24) - Rain (another one of those tropical things rolled in south of here…worked on what I like to call “dink and roll” using an 8i in the bedroom (have about 15’ of distance) - hitting little chips (flying about 6-8’) and rolling out to auto return putting cup.  This drill replicates just off the green drills where it’s too tall to putt and you only need it to roll a short way.
    • Hi, I am looking for a good all around 2 or 3 piece golf ball at under $20/dz. My swing speed is over 90 and I hit my 8 iron around 150. I am a feel player so something not too hard or too soft would be ideal. Thank you
    • What ever you do, ignore the Maltby Playablity Factor. 30 years ago that was exposed as total nonsense. It is even more nonsense now. I'm always shocked when somebody brings that up.
    • I'd have a hard time believing its more than that. I feel like this pretty much has to be the case.  I tried, albeit briefly, to find out how they came up with that claim. This is the only thing I found... which is nothing.  Callaway Media | Videos, Podcasts, & Episodes | Golf Content The Official source for Callaway golf clubs, golf balls and gear. • Here's the first run! I'll get video and photos soon of it on the course with a bag on it.
