Driver swing shown below (DTL and sideview).

I've been working on a lagging clubhead takeaway (may be overdoing it?) and delayed wrist cock (float loading) action.

I get 100 degrees of shoulder turn, 35 degrees of hip turn, and my clubhead speed is 100-105 range.

All suggestions / comments welcome.  Thx.

I wouldn't get so caught up in the degrees of your turn etc... I'm no expert, but from what I'm seeing the club is really laid off at the top of your backswing and if you'd allow it to hinge you'd get the shaft more parallel to the ground and probaly add more distance. You have a very flat plane as well. But like I said, take this with a grain of salt...there are a lot more guys on here that are more knowledgeable than I am.

Some things I notice--right foot is pulled way back relative to your left foot at address.  This may be a compensatory set up for now, but as your swing improves, you might have to change it.  Your hands are quite far behind the club head at address--a set up for long drive competitions, but potentially detrimental to accuracy.

The initial moves in the backswing--clubhead gets behind your hands very early and shaft is too flat half way back.  Shoulder turn is very flat.  There's a big shift back and down with your body during the backswing.

I like your wide arc and float loading of the wrist hinge.  I do think you can hinge your right wrist more--imaging the knuckles of your right hand bending back toward your right forearm.

Down swing--early loss of lag--I think in part due to insufficient right wrist hinge going back.

I like how well you extend your legs going into impact, but you need to get your hips/pelvis more forward into impact.

I recommend reading the "deep hands thread" first

you really need to read some instruction on a proper backswing. You dont want to delay wrist cock or floatloading whatever your calling it, I think your club is the most underplane Ive ever seen on the backswing because of this. Whoever told you to do this needs to be slapped with a rubber hose

Yes, the right foot back was compensating for a tendency of leaving my shoulders open at address -- I do need to get back more square.

I'll experiment with the right wrist hinge you mentioned - that sounds related to something I was having success with but backed off of, which was rolling my left forearm over more, which will bend the right wrist back and also tucks my right elbow in.  The reasons I moved off it probably aren't valid anymore so I'm anxious to experiment.

Regarding hips/pelvis more forward... is this the same as increasing secondary axis tilt at impact?

hogan2.jpg Yes, getting the left hip (for a righty) and pelvis more forward at impact is related to secondary axis tilt.  In order to maintain your head centered (without thrusting your head backwards into impact) while having your left hip and left shoulder higher than your right into impact, you have to get your hip and pelvis forward.

I would discourage rolling of the left forearm (gets the clubface into a laid off and shut position)

Here's a good video of getting the right knuckles back to the right forearm, creating good right wrist hinge.  See how the right wrist bends back to the right forearm (hinges) and the left wrist cocks toward the left thumb.
