I know Callaway says line up the chevrons when inserting the shaft in the head, but it will go in 2 other orientations. Has anyone experimented with this as in trying to achieve spine alignment? I guess it would be a rough (or lucky) puring attempt.

Let me rephrase my question.

Does anyone here use the i-mix system, and have you given shaft orientation any thought?

I have a driver with the i-Mix setup.  I just align the chevrons and tighten it every once in a while.

When I bought a used I-mix driver from golf galaxy the chevron wasnt aligned properly. So i moved it to be aligned but then the grip wasnt aligned. I really dont think that it makes a difference.

When I gamed an Imix driver, I was going to have the tip pulled, shaft spined and then reinstalled. It turned out that my Whiteboard was already aligned just fine using the stock "chevron" location so I let it be. Have you checked the orientation of your shaft as it sits right now?
