One of my goals for the year is an official USGA Handicap.  Well I now have one through Ghin, and it is 16.4. Not as good as I hoped for, but it is what it is. Only 5 scores posted, and I am embarrassed about the first couple; the last couple are more in line. My main problem right now is chipping and putting-think I had something like 19 putts on my last nine and that was partly because of poor chipping.

I will say that at least half of the data was accumulated while walking (another goal for this year) and using the  Frankenstein set in my sig. I think I need to slow down a bit around the green and let my mind and body recover from the hike. I know this is not a problem for a lot of you, but for a 53 year old fat belly that has been riding most of the last 35 years, it is an adjustment.

My goal now is to be a 12 by the end of October.
