Updating a very old set of clubs.  I am 6'5" and going with either Ping Eye 2 (both black $175 and white dot $160 found), Ping ISI-K (black dot $175), or Ping G10's (black dot $130).  Just what I have been finding locally and really like the Ping Eye 2's.  From the Ping site I am color coded as a silver.

So I guess my main question is....should I wait for a silver dot set or go with the black dots and try them...have them bent possibly at some point if I need it.  The white dot i2's would obviously be very close to the silver dots...

Thoughts and suggestions appreciated on the sets themselves as well......

Thanks in advance

Before you buy anything I would go to a box store like Golf Galaxy and take in one of your old irons (say a 7i) and tell them you want the lie adjusted due to your height but don't know to what angle it needs to be.  It might cost a small fee but they will have you hit a lie board and determine if your clubs need to be flattened or upright.  If you are 6'5" most likely the irons will need to be adjusted upright.  Ask them what adjustment is needed and then buy your new set accordingly.

Not sure where you are buying used clubs at, but if you buy used at Golf Galaxy, they will adjust the lies for half the price of labor making it about $1.50 a club (normal price is $2.99 per club).

I would wait for a set that you know fits you. That way there won't be any second thoughts or regrets about your purchase. Having a set that fits you really helps, I'm 6'3'' and having upright clubs makes a huge difference with my posture over the ball.
