Should a high handicap play a Scotty Cameron putter? I hear they are for better players, but love the way  they feel. What do you think?

If you putt better with one, sure why not?  I'm a high handicapper and bought a used SC Newport 2.  I can't say it made me a better putter, but I like the way it feels and I'm more comfortable with it than I was with the others I tried.  Putters are about confidence, if you believe a certain brand putter will make you better then regardless of your handicap it's the right putter for you.

When it comes to a putter then whatever feels right is good. Most good players will change other clubs regularly but rarely change their putter. Technology doesn't really figure here, find one that feels like its yours and then learn to trust it.

It has nothing to do with being a better player. It has more to do with a commitment to becoming a better putter. Keep in mind, putting for a beginner is the easiest and fastest way to improve your scoring. IMO, if you purchase a Scotty or any premium putter, it will want to make you practice your putting more and you will enjoy putting immensely..
