For a while now, I've had a terrible slice. But I have fixed that now. Now my problem is the ball isn't going very far. 150 yards to maybe 180 yards. But one thing the ball does do is go high. Really high. Now I set the ball upon the inside of my front foot, and i tee it normal. I have even tried teeing the ball lower so I can't get under it and it still shoots to the moon. So I started thinking that maybe if I play the ball further back in my swing, maybe i will hit it more flat and it will go straight and further. Am I correct? or is there something else I should be doing?

It could be many things, but l'd suggest to start with your swing.  I've got several questions first?  1) Do all of your clubs hit high with no distance?  2) Does the ball spin off to any certain direction after hitting the ground?  3) Do you find yourself in a reverse "C" position after hitting the ball?  4) Do you have any videos showing your swing with two views (side and back)?

With that said, it seems the problem may be that you've been lifting the ball (wrist flip, reverse "C", arm tug), pick one.  Assuming proper stance is achieved (feet aligned with target, knee's slightly bent/flexed, butt sticking out slightly past heels, bent at waist, with slight spine tilt, hands on club in front of verticle sightline).  The "Cure", with your 7 iron...place your ball as you would at address, now place a tee laying approximately 2 inches in front of it and try to make contact with the tee when striking the ball.  It's called a sweeping drill that I've taught to others with a similar issue, hope this helps.  Good Luck.
