I think this putter is from around 1996-1998, I bought it from a Golfsmith then. It hasn't been used in about 10 years, is in still pretty good condition, but rusted a little. I have a few questions.

1) Is this putter any good? Worth using over the newer putters?

2) Can someone give me details about this putter?

3) How much would it be worth if I were to sell it?

4) Is there any way to restore the putter / finish without ruining it?

Thanks!

PS Why cant I attach photos here?

You're probably looking at  a $125-$150 profit whether you sell regardless of whether you sell it as is or have it restored first. That's the price you'll get on ebay for a used one with slight rusting. If you send it to the custom shop to be restored it will cost $145, plus around $40-$50 for total shipping costs (to and fro). Restored the putter will sell for between $300-$350.

My Tools of Ignorance:

Putters: Scotty Cameron  35" (Several of the flow neck blade variety)

Ball: Bridgestone B330-RX and Srixon Z-Star

Bag: Nike Performance Carry

    • I never heard dislike for them.  From my perspective, they are just like any other club. Though, they were always probably over-priced, until recently as other club manufacturers have been raising prices the past 5+ years. You had to wait for them to go on sale, which you can get them closer to other club manufacturers.  They sell good clubs. Nothing crazy..
    • Why do so many people dislike PXG clubs and constantly criticize them? All the folks at my club and especially online, I never hear good things about them except from people who bought them and defend them. They look fine to me but curious is there some sort of quality issue or is it just stereotyping the buyers.
    • I have the LM1 launch monitor and I’ve been very impressed. I agree with your assessment and it’s very accurate for me and ease of use is wonderful. The price point of $199 is very hard to beat with this form factor and performance. I was previously using a PRGR.
