Hi,

So let me start by saying this season I have been hitting the ball a solid 25 yards farther than last year. I think it has to do with that I have grown but I also think it could be because I did a weight class for school. I am 15 years old 125 lbs and about 5'5. I would say my average drive goes about 255 average maybe 265 on a good day (Not 265 being like the drive of the month average) I am at 4500 feet so the ball goes a little farther, but Like a month or two ago when I was actively doing like hang cleans, bench, squat, lunges, pushups and all that it seemed I was hitting my drives like 15 yards farther on the carry and I had a VERY high ball flight with a big draw and that was when the days were like 55 degrees, My ball flight now is a little draw and it goes a bit lower. Plus, I am playing in more like 75 degree temperatures and still I was hitting it farther a month ago it seems. Could this be because I haven't done working out in like 2-3 weeks or my swing changing or what?

Also, I used to have a big draw that I liked and now I feel like I have to swing for a draw to get a draw at all, should I just think about starting my downswing more with my lower body?

    • These are the courses that I remember, but there may be others that I’m not remembering at the moment. I broke 100 atOakland Hills one time, but what I shot otherwise will be taken to the grave with me.    Country Club of the North - Several LPGA tournaments NCR Country Club South Course - 51st PGA, 41st US Women’s Open, 05 US Senior Open (attended) TPC Michigan - Ford Senior Players Championship Valhalla - 24, 14, 2000, and 96 PGA Championships, 11, and 04 Senior PGA Championships, 08 Ryder Cup Oakland Hills - 08 PGA Championship, 04 Ryder Cup, 96, 85, 61 and other US Opens TPC Sawgrass - The Players Championship

    • For me it was combo of good drama and total last man standing collapse... But it showed me once again that "ball rollback" is nonsense...when courses are set up to punish missed fairways and greens, that's where the quality golf (or total collapse) takes place...hurting the rest of us because a relatively few can bomb it 100 yards farther is idiotic...that Young bomb on 18 was gutsy... He misses the fairway with that he likely doesn't win, at least on that hole...
    • Followed by the longest drive on 18 in the shotlink era. That is a tough shot and he stood up there and did it. Fair play to him.
