I have problems with my left shoulder.  I can maybe take 3/4 of a swing before it gives me problems.

Im looking for swings to try that only require 3/4 of a swing at most if there is such a swing

I'm assuming the pain comes from lifting and swing your arms vertically while turning your shoulders on a more horizonatal plane. Instead, you should use a swing where the shoulders and arms move together on the same plane. To do this, you need to tilt your left shoulder to the left as you turn your torso, while keeping the left arm pinned to your left pec.

My Tools of Ignorance:

Driver: Ping I20 9.5*

Wedges: Callaway Forged Copper 56* and 60*

Putters: Scotty Cameron  35" (Several of the flow neck blade variety)

Ball: Bridgestone B330-RX and Srixon Z-Star

Bag: Nike Performance Carry

To make a quick story on it....Broke my shoulder back in 03 10 screws and a titanium plate I had 95% rotation for 5 years and it started to get tight.  Its not really pain as it is pressure.  If I try to reach above my head my shoulder gets really tight. Almost like someone grans it and stops it from going any further. Ive been the DR and need surgery but it works alright for now.

I kind of practiced what you just said without a club and it does feel better but almost like im swinging a baseball bat....ill practice that and see what I come up with.

Thanks!

    • Day 1 - First chipping and pitching. Focus on a better grip, the fundamentals and taking the club back on plane, not outside. Feels good. Then some full swings. Focus on improving the setup. Weight more forward, more bent over, and same grip stuff.
    • Congrats on the improvement. Cheers for lots of continued improvement in the future. IMO you've gotta get away from these spots… Those are partly "results" as the work will begin on things earlier in the swing. Good luck.
