The Ping fitting van was in town and I got fitted yesterday.  Have standard lie - black dot - graphite reg shaft - Aqua grip, -1/2 length.  Fitter recommended G15.  This seems different enough from my store bought Callaway Big Bertha set to invest in the Pings.  Any thoughts?  Also,  wondering about whether to purchase G15's through pitching or gap wedge.  I currently have standard gap wedge which I hit alot.  Thanks for the help.

The Ping representive seemed to know what he was doing and it was a good experience.

The G15's are great clubs and you won't be dissapointed. Might as well get it through the GW.

How tall are you?

Typically Ping's static fitting recommends I use an orange dot (2.25* flat) and -1/2" as I am 5' 3.5" tall.

Which is very similar to my fitting at golf galaxy when I got my TM irons.  They went 2* flat with -3/4" (TM's are 1/4" longer than Ping irons).

Just seemed strange they would recommend black dot with the -1/2".

He is probably about the same height as you, but your arms are quite a bit longer than his.
