hey i was just wondering-does anybody have any experience hitting a fujikura Zcom shaft? im not so interested in buying one, but i saw them on several tour issued clubs on ebay and was interested. Does anybody know the bend profile, or player who they would be best suited for. i think there r several types, but i dunno the difference between them...

asianpsuation,

The Zcom series is the easiest of all shafts to decipher. Z-Com stands for "Zone of communication." The first letter in the shaft's name is the area where the shaft is most soft, it is stiff in others. I wish other companies would take Fujikura's idea and incorporate it, they even go so far as to place the bend profile in graphics on the shaft. The B zone is the stiffest overall, but its predominant bend is in the butt section, it is stiff in the tip. Great shaft for golfers with a long swing arc, smooth transition and a very late release of their wrist cock. it's a tough shaft to fit into. The M zone is only avialable as an ultra light (54g) at retail although heavier weights are available to the tour. It's stiff in the tip, and butt while being soft in the midsection. Great shaft for golfers who are inbetween, medium swing arc, medium transition, medium wrist cock release. The T zone is stiff in the butt and midsection and softer in the tip. Outstanding fairway wood shaft, it's a good fit for golfers who have a short, compact swing arc, an aggressive transition, but a semi-early wrist cock release. Very high quality shafts, but the installation is crucial due to a very long tip section. Not a shaft I would ebay or buy from any clubbuilder.

    • Day 622 - 2026-06-16 Played 16 holes. We skipped 10 and 11. Backswing is good. Most of the time.
    • Day 287 6-16 Full, fast swings with controlling low point. Did ok just wasnt feeling it tonight. Recorded swing, no ball.
    • I'm good with the bunkers, and the fairways are SUPER wide. Three yards should stop a ball that isn't landing in it from rolling into the hay.
    • I'm a little behind, but I just finished listening to the episode about practicing while on vacation.  I have two vacations coming up this month that I won't be bringing golf clubs with me on, and this was perfectly timed (I'm sure I am not the only one going on vacation in June).   Especially the part about stretching.  I keep putting off adding stretching, with golf in mind, to my daily routine.  I think I'm going to use these upcoming vacations, the first of which I'm flying off to on Thursday, as a way to get into this habit.   For anyone else interested, Fit For Golf (see sidebar) has fantastic stretching routines (some of which, I think, are on their free area).  I really should get back to doing their main exercises too.  I don't have any affiliation with them beyond "satisfied customer," in case that sounds like an ad. I may end up posting in the 5 minutes thread when I do golf stretches if it's my only practice that day... as if I don't already sound like a broken mp3 with my 10-15 minutes hitting indoors part. And back to the topic:  anyone not caught up on the podcast should consider catching up and listen to that episode, especially if you're going on a non-golf vacation this summer and want some practice ideas that aren't the at-home practice routine from LSW about long bunker shots (which I am sure we all do regularly).
    • Mostly pull cuts to slices. Some random pull draw/hooks pending of I hit the toe.
