Hows my driving?

I really started playing golf seriously about 2 months ago...and starting out I had a horrible slice when hitting my driver. Ive put a lot of work into my swing lately and gotten tips here and there and now almost everytime I hit my driver I have a slight to somewhat severe draw but ive learned to play it pretty consistently into the fairway. Im thankful that I almost never slice the ball anymore but sometimes i'll hit it dead straight and because of the way im set up it goes way right of the fairway...

does anyone else play like this? and should I settle into just playing a draw when I drive everytime or work on hitting it as straight as possible?

If you had to guess how big is your draw?  Id say anything over 15-20 yards is too much.  Nothing wrong with aiming at one side of the fairway and playing a slight draw but you should try to avoid aiming too far away from the center of the fairway and hoping it draws back in.

it varies...sometimes it can start heading for the trees on the right and then tail in towards the end and hit the middle of the fairway...other times its minimal but i would say 9 out of 10 times im heading left.

i suppose im closing the face too much? ive changed so many different things with my swing lately its hard for me to tell..

You are definitely shutting down the clubface, probably letting your wrist go too early, try holding your wrist cock until impact and see how that works for you.

When I first started to learn how to play a draw I did it the "wrong way".  I had a closed stance, left foot closer to the ball line and the right foot a step back off the ball line(Rhanded).  I used to run into the problem you seem to be having.  A massive draw sometimes, but then randomly I would sail it off into the trees on the right hand side.  I play a much better and controlled draw now with a normal(neutral) stance.

The only reason I comment on this thread is to say if you have a closed stance I would suggest fixing this first.   If not, then just learn by taking slower swings and build up into full swings and find a good balance between the 2, you'll prolly find it around 85-90%
