Lamkin Silhoutte grips

picked up a set of clubs for nearly nothing at a yard sale last weekend.  The grips are worn out but they're Lamkin  Silhouette grips.  They start as a regular size grip at the butt and then start to expand out around 2" down to an oversized, directly under the left hand, then re taper back down again.

I really like these grips but see that Lamkin doesn't make them anymore.  I wonder if you could put build up tape on the shaft to achieve the same effect.

Anyone have any ideas?

Silhoutte grips were declared illegal by USGA and R&A; many years ago. You can try building up in middle on grip,but it could be tough getting grip over all that tape in middle.
