Myrtle Beach - Golf Vacations

I just played golf with someone that has a vacation home on Pawley's Island (I think that's what it's called). He highly recommended that area for golf. He mentioned a few courses but True Blue is the only one I remember.

There are a slew of good courses down that end. In addition to True Blue, there's Caledonia, Heritage, Tradition, Willbrook Plantation, River Club and Litchfield. (Like Flap said, I don't think Lichfield is a joke - it's just an old design.)

Drop me a line when you're going and we can tee it up if I'm down there then.

I have played Caledonia, True Blue and Heritage several times. All great courses. Caledonia is one of the most beautiful courses I have ever played, and great layout. It is worth the extra $$$ to check it out at least once. Played the Fazio course at Barefoot - another high $$$ course but it was worth it. The Love course is supposed to be even better. Played The Witch years ago and loved it.

I just booked a trip today to Myrtle. Playing Willbrook Plantation, River Club, Waterway Hills, Aberdeen Club, and Kings North at Myrtle Beach National. I cant wait. Have to say thanks to FahooGolfs for his recommendation on the golfdesk.com. They are great.
