As you can see from my signature, currently only my irons and wedges have been extended to be longer than standard. Would it be normal protocol (being 6' 4") to have also my woods be extended past standard? I am going to be seeing some fitting people near the end of the month.

Depends on your stance, and how long your arms are in proportion to the rest of your body.A friend of mine is 6-foot-2, but has normal-proportion arms and uses clubs with regular length and lie.

The fitters can check you out and give you advice on whether to lengthen the wood shafts.

      This weather is curing my winter depression rapidly. “Dugnad” today. A Norwegian word for community or voluntary work. Many clubs has one in spring and one in autumn where everyone is invited to help with various tasks on the course to prepare it for the season or winter. Lots of trees and branches were cleared today. Opening in March is not unlikely at this rate. 15 C and sunny could be mid summer.

      It’s a start and it’s enough to keep me motivated while I work on consistency, my short game, putting, and correcting my slice. Thanks. Sound advice - I like it. I went ahead and bought a couple spiffy newer Callaway woods on eBay to try out so I won’t have a mixed bag, but I’ve been thinking the same thing and I won’t be letting go of my old Taylormades any time soon.
