There is a new [to me] commercial out for the Fed-Ex Cup, with the following quotes in it:

Adam Scott: I will be the first to kiss her
Zach Johnson: How delightful is the winning of a kiss at love's beginning?
Dean Wilson: Drink, to be only with thine eyes, and I will pledge with mine.
Sean O'Hair: Other men have seen angels, but I have seen thee. Thou art enough.
Lucas Glover: You may conquer with a sword, but you're conquered by a kiss.
Aaron Baddeley: I'd fly to the moon and back if she'd be my baby.


Of course, I have no idea where these are from, or if they're made up for the commercial. I suspect at least some are from famous plays etc. Does anyone know, and if so, can you clue me in?

Thanks in large part to a literature nut here at work, I was able to find the following:

1 - No clue
2 - Thomas Campbell, "Freedom and Love"
3 - Ben Jonson, "To Celia"
4 - George Moore
5 - Daniel Heinsius
6 - Savage Garden, "To the Moon and Back"

They're cute commercials that served their Valentine's Day purpose. I wonder what the next installment will be.

      Yes it's true in a large sample like a tournament a bunch of 20 handicaps shouldn't get 13 strokes more than you. One of them will have a day and win. But two on one, the 7 handicap is going to cover those 13 strokes the vast majority of the time. 20 handicaps are shit players. With super high variance and a very asymmetrical distribution of scores. Yes they shoot 85 every once in a while. But they shoot 110 way more often. A 7 handicap's equivalent is shooting 74 every once in a while but... 86 way more often?
