Say I was in a Pro-Am. My pro has a birdie putt and I am already putting for 6 and my score won't matter. Is it allowed for me to purposely putt my ball up behind his in order to give him a read? Is there something that says you can't do this?

See Dec 30-3f/6. In stroke play you both get a penalty of 2 strokes and in match play you both are DQ'd for that hole.

What says you cannot do this is integrity and spirit of this game.
