So I had a lesson a week ago. Irons, mostly. Learned a lot and have been smacking my 4 iron straight as a beam of light since. Been in the back 40 practicing my new posture and grip and such. Worked great.

In fact, I played a round today at Hanover CC and my irons were on fire! I found it very hard to miss with a long iron.

Oh. Wait. It was not all peaches and cream.....

I could not hit a driver if my life depended on it! What the heck????

I have come to realize, as a relative newcomer, that this game is seriously deranged! Two weeks ago I was smacking balls 220 down the middle and today I could easily pull 3 in a row off the tee left into the woods.

I need to take up a simpler activity, such as neuro-surgery or some such...

So I guess there is a serious question here. My instructor had me bend over just a bit more since I was standing up too straight. Could the change in distance, me to ball, with a driver, which I have not yet practiced, cause a consistent pull?

I clearly have to hit another 5000 drives with foam balls in my back yard this week... geez, this "game" never lets up.

Foam balls don't lie. I adjusted my distance today, moving slightly further away, and that seems to be the key.
