Again I am having problems pushing drives.  My golf partners have commented that my hands are not catching up with my body.  Consequently, I am hitting my drives to the right.  Any drills to help get my hands to catch up to my body would be appreciated.  TIA.  This is a continual problem which I can't seem to solve.

Quick fixes would be to move the ball farther forward in your stance and to even out your tempo. Do you start a round well, then it gets worse? Or is it the same all the time?

Usually just the opposite.  Start pushing and then later hit some good drives.  Might be swinging too hard when I start a round.

Do you have a consistent pre-shot routine? Sometimes small grip changes in position and pressure can lead to inconsistencies.

Yes.  I try to follow consistent routine on the tee box.

I had the exact same problem with my swing :P

The only thing you will need is an alignment stick!

Their are two drills that really helped me straighten my ball flight that i hope will make your ball go straighter, further and more consistent!

The first you can try at home;

1. Put on an old pair of golf pants or shorts, really anything that has a belt loops and your not afraid to rip.

2. Slide the alignment stick through the front loops so that it protrudes on both sides about 1-1 1/2 feet

3. Start swinging slowly as you normally would and allow your hands to beat the alignment stick around as you turn.

4. If your hand hits behind the alignment stick as you are swinging , you blocked your shot.

5. Keeping working at slow speeds until your hands are comfortably beating the stick as your body turns!

6. When you start getting good at this drill swing at higher speeds *Do not swing fast from the start or you will be ripping the stick off of your pants*

-I would suggest using a 7/8 iron first with this drill and making your way up to driver

Next Drill

This has to be the simplest, most helpful drill my coach ever taught me!

The problem with many amateurs is that their impact position is very weak and poor, even the pros run into spells when they just arn't pureing the ball like normal!

This drill really allows your body to feel the correct position at impact when everything is square!

1. Go to the range and get a couple dozen balls

2. MOST IMPORTANTLY STRECH YOUR THIGHS AND BACK BEFORE DOING THIS DRILL

3. Grab you 9 iron and start hitting half shots without letting your feet leave the ground

4. It will feel very awkward at first and its common to top or even s***k the ball on your first dozen shots but soon you will start to hit the ball much more solid

5. When you begin to hit 1 or 2 shots pure in a row move on to a full swing, you will most likely have to repeat step 4 on every club unless you get used to it really quick.

6. Move up through your clubs 9-6-4-hybrid-woods and finally driver

I still use this drill and i'm so confident that I will actually hit shots in tournaments with my feet flat!

Hope This Helps

-Chris

Are you pushing, fading or slicing? The difference in cause and effect is quite important.

Straight push.  I am pretty sure it is my hands falling behind.

Don't discount your entire body sliding forwards on the down swing, effectively putting the ball further back in your stance and not allowing you time to square up the club face prior to impact.

This is common early on in a round before you have properly loosened up and got your pivot fully functional.

Bit similar to your hands falling behind you!
