I went to the range today with my current irons (2003 RAC TP COMBO) and absolutely flushed them.

Note, these irons have worn grooves on the lower irons.

I thought for sure I was going to upgrade to new irons this year, but I am hitting my current irons great.

What do you guys think, stay with my current irons and slightly lose spin, or, switch to new irons and adjust to them?

You can buy a tool that resharpens your grooves for under $20. I would try that and stick with your old irons before you go and buy some new ones. Just a thought.....

You said yourself that you flushed them. Keep your irons dude. If you find a set of irons you really like there is no reason to change until they are completely dead. Also, while technology has drastically changed with drivers since 2003, I don't necessarily think the iron technology is that much better now. If you're worried about spin get that tool the other guy was talking about. Or don't and just keep flushing it.

Well.....I'm going to keep my irons.

The fact of the matter is, my grooves are only worn in the short irons, the long irons are still holding up well.

I checked it out, there is a dremel kit you can buy to regroove clubs.

Plus, Taylormade doesn't use coin-forging anymore . I love the feel of these irons, so it would be pointless to waste $800 on R7 TP's which I'm not in love with.

Thanks guys, now I can spend my money on my new driver..... King Cobra Speed Pro D, I crush it. It comes with a Aldila VS proto 'ByYou' in a gold color exclusive to cobra.

Dude, if you took Bobby Jones' first set of irons and hit them all well, I'd say stick with them. And the 2003 RAC TP COMBO irons are far superior to those. Keep them until you aren't hitting them well, then chat with a pro to see if the current set is bad (or if your swing had a problem). That's my plan for my irons.

And I'd like to add, "Don't fix it if it ain't broken." Regroove sounds like a good idea.
